There has been a considerable shift in the funding of minor procedures in recent years resulting in many procedures no longer being available on the NHS as they are now defined as cosmetic. As a result patients are having to pay for these services.

The Brighton Skin Surgery (BSS) was set up to offer patients the choice of a local GP led service to have skin blemishes they find undesirable removed at an affordable price in a professional, friendly and sensitive setting. We are licensed and regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

BSS is run by Dr Avni Patel, an experienced GP who also holds the Diploma in Dermatology.

Procedures offered are skin tag removal, scalp cyst and skin cyst removal, mole removal, seborrhoeic wart removal, cherry or blood spot removal, milia removal and lipoma removal. Most patients would be able to leave the surgery within an hour and most would be able to drive home.
